Never in a million years would I have thought I would find myself cheering on the New York Yankees. I am now. Read my previous post, Cleveland Rocks? , if you need to know why I hoping for a Yankees sweep in the ALDS.

Come on …
Let’s be serious. You want to see the worst fans in sports? Go to a Detroit Pistons game. Does that mean I root against them? No. It just means that the fans are not worthy of the team they support.
So, while Cleveland fans might be obnoxious, that in itself is no reason to root against their team. Look at their team: they did it the right way. They did not buy their way into playoffs, but rather they developed players within their own organization. They gave people like Borowski a second chance.
So, go ahead and dislike the fans, but it’s hard as a fan of the sport to not appreciate this team.

You fellas can support any team you choose.
I’m rooting for Jesus, Michael, Gabriel, and even the White Horse is my team. But then, I have already seen the score at the end of the game. You all can find it too, in an archaic received text bible. It says we are MORE than conquerors!!
Oh my gosh, did I just say that?

Go Jesus!!!!

I like this blog better, when it is more “God” than “culture.

So Don, just curious, you used the word “gosh”, what does that word mean?

And curious as to the context you used it in your post here.

Figure of speech, Schuyler. Sorry for the offense it has caused you, this was not my intent.
The intent was to rejoice in Christ our Savior and nothing more.
As I have stated before, I’m a first generation Christian of over thirty five years in my second birth and still am as fresh in my appreciation of what He has done for me as the first day. I’ve never gotten over it!!
May the Lord bless your day.

Don

Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, . . . You didn’t offend ME Don; you can choose any figures of speech /euphemisms you like, you don’t offend ME. Whether figurative or literal, the word “gosh” has only one meaning. I’ve read many of your postings on this blog site; you seem to be very passionate, knowledgeable in both The Word and in Christian history. Do you believe The Bible teaches it is acceptable to use such figures of speech/euphemisms?

Found this interesting letter on the subject:

Ya know now days the kids text message, and they simply use “OMG”; so next time you don’t even have to type it all the way out, just type “OMG”.

Schuyler

I offered you an apology. evidently it was insufficient for you. Put your sword down, as I’m not interested in dueling with you. If you might consider directing that energy toward the real enemy, we all may benefit from it.

May the Lord still bless you

Don
