Paul,

I don’t hear your show but what do you think is the solution to Roe v Wade? Outright illegalization? My question if that is the case, is it practical to even think this would happen? As a former rightie I used to side with Dobson and the crew about making abortion illegal but the more I think about it the more I think this cause is a lost one. Maybe the better stance for the right to take is to make more of an impact and try to reduce the amount of abortions instead of trying to change the law. I almost think it would take an outright theocracy to do what the right wants, of course, maybe that is the goal and the fight for abortion is just one of the issues to launch a theocratic government. Who knows?

Pixelmaster,

The answer to the abortion crisis is not political reform through theocratic rule- it’s changed hearts.

There was a time in the 235 plus year history of this great country when the hearts of men and women would not allow the thought of killing an unborn child, therefore if someone were so base as to engage the practice, they did so in “back-alleys,” out of public view and away from the public condemnation that would surely follow.

The depravity of our hearts has now overtaken our sense of reason. Only the Gospel of Jesus Christ can recover this sense of morality which our depravity has taken from us. But the gospel isn’t proclaimed through legislation. It’s proclaimed through the mouths of those whose lives have been taken captive by their Savior.

Abortion was once illegal in this country, and it was not illegal because theocrats decreed it. The hearts of our citizens decreed it. What we need is not a theocracy, but a revival.

Well said, then why don’t the theocons like Dobson, Robertson and the like that have married the republican party spend more time trying to address the heart issue and stop trying to change the law through brute force of the courts and a political (corrupt) party?

BTW,
I don’t know if you ever discussed this on your show but this article is insane.
