“Paid for by the John McCain Campaign” This is what happens when news “sells” it becomes a magnet to the “story”. Obama is the story. In 2003 the war was the “story”. We need the fairness doctrine to get us back to news reporters reporting the news and not what sells commercials.

What a persuasive ad. Of course I won’t vote for Obama now, since Chris Mathews and some dude on NBC are hot for him. Anyone they like must make a terrible President. And of course the media has never had anything but white hot hate for McSame. Which means he’d be a great President. I guess.

“And of course the media has never had anything but white hot hate for McSame”

I am not sure if this sentance was serious or not but less than 5 months ago, John McCain was calling the media his base. Now that Obama is more interesting than he is they make a whining effort to change public opinion. Won’t work.

Pixel, unless you are delusional it is clear that the media is invested in seeing Barack Obama elected. The coverage is non-stop, favorable and titled heavily toward Obama. No wonder the NYT will publish anything Obama wants but refuses op-ed pieces from McCain.

McCain made the comment about the media tongue in cheek.

7. Pixelmaster - July 24, 2008

Arthur, The NYT rejected 6 of Bill Clinton’s op-ed’s, the reason why they rejected it is because McCain like most on the far right was loose with the facts. The worst part of the McCain of late is he is nothing like he was when we was considered a maverick. I would have voted for that McCain.

Like I said before, the are covering the “story” because the “story” sells commercials. McCain got the spotlight when Clinton and Obama were duking it out and it is a matter of fact that is called the media his base. Now he is whining when compared to Obama he looks old and has nothing new to say.

Also, this video doesn’t seem tongue in cheek, the claim seems pretty clear.

Loose with the facts? Unlike Obama who just changes the facts when it suits him? Calling McCain “far right” is ridiculous. I am far right, but McCain is nowhere near that. Or is everyone to the right of Che Guevera “far right” to you?

9. Pixelmaster - July 25, 2008

Your are right, he is not far right, however, he is doing everything he can to look like he is. The McCain of old was very appealing, someone who would work with the other party for the betterment of the country. Now he has to pander to the, my way or the highway crowd, on the far right which has turned him into a very dry candidate. Running as a mirror to GWB is not a good thing. I honestly don’t know how most christians can support him other than the fact that most have been duped by the idea that voting republican equals favor with God somehow. I am not saying Obama is perfect but from a social conservative stance they are not much different at all, in fact if you really want to unpack “family values” you find that McCain is worse. Especially in his personal life. I don’t let 1 issue determine my vote and when you unpack the “values” it is 1 single issue, most others they are mirrors.

If we want to talk about one issue, lets talk about EXPERIENCE! Or should I say, Obama’s lack of experience. We are talking about “The President of the United States of America”. Less then one term as Senator and maybe the next President, that is not what a job recuiter would say is good experience when looking a this position that Obama wants to have as the next President. I am not a fan of McCain by any means, but his time in the military and the Senate FAR out weighs the little experience Obama has.

Sure we could also talk about issues such as Abortion, National Security, Foreign Relations, Domestic/Economy, more or less government. But in the end, we are still talking about the reality that a person becoming the next President not because he is qualified for his experience but because of his looks and speaking ability. Why not elect Brad Pitt, Michael Jordan, Halle Barry or Nicole Kidman?

We will be stuck with the next President for 4 years, whether we like our two choices (because if we are honest, only Obama or McCain are going to win. Maybe one day the American people will see the way these 2 parties are taking all of us for advantage and start siding with a party that will listen to the people and not just talk empty words.). The “lesser of two evils” is a reality that people will need to consider when they go to vote in November. Who do you think will cause less of a mess as President? Sad situation to be in, but that’s life and in the end God’s Will, will be done. Let’s just hope He doesn’t give us the leader we deserve, and that He would instead show His mercy on this nation.

As far as the subject of this blog post, I don’t think an honest person can say the mainstream news media in this country is not bias toward Obama. Too bad the news media can just report the news, then trying to create it. Oh well, yet another sign of an imperfect world.

Pixel, are you serious?

” I am not saying Obama is perfect but from a social conservative stance they are not much different at all,”

McCain is far from an ideal candidate but on the issues that matter the most to Christian conservatives, abortion and gay marriage, they are miles apart. Are you even paying attention or are you to busy concocting new conspiracy theories?
